Air Fed Blast Helmets are approved for respiratory protection in any atmosphere not immediately dangerous to life or health with at least 19.5 percent oxygen.

The Clemco Apollo 600 Air Fed Blast Helmet features double shell construction that provides air circulation around the operators head.  Noise levels inside the helmet are kept low thanks to Clemco's exclusive air distribution systems.

The Apollo 600 Helmet has a positive pressure system where air is brought into the top of the helmet, passes over the entire head and is filtered out through a kitted neck band that gently seals against the operators neck.  The neck band on the Apollo 600 is easily removed for cleaning.

The CMS-3 monitor detects carbon monoxide in the breathing-air supply and triggers audible, visual, and vibratory alarms when CO is detected in concentrations of at least 10 parts per million. The alarms alert the operator to an unsafe condition.

OSHA requires Grade D quality breathing air and NIOSH-approved Type CE continuous-flow supplied-air respirators for abrasive blast operators. OSHA regulations call for a maximum exposure limit to carbon monoxide of 10 parts per million (ppm). When the presence of carbon monoxide is detected at this level, the CMS-3 emits an audible alarm, a visible flash, and the unit vibrates. When an alarm occurs, the user should remove the respirator immediately when it is safe to do so. To prolong battery life, turn unit off when not in use; turn unit on and re-install at beginning of work shift.

Clemco CPF Filters separate most of the moisture and oil mist from Grade D breathing air before they reach the filter cartridge.  Compressed air expands as it enters the CPF, releasing moisture and oil to fall to the bottom.  Clemco mounts the pressure gauge and regulator on the clean air side of the filter for longer life and more accurate control.  The Clemco CPF Filter cartridge is assembled in Clemco's USA plant and contains:
