The unique impregnated matrices fit a broad range of formations from soft to very hard. The state of the art alloy-based metallurgical and
furnacing technology is the secret to the long life of the bit. The matrices are defined by numbers for hardness ranging from 1—15, with 1 representing the hardest matrix and 15 the softest. All matrices are colour coded as shown in the chart below.
